West Virginia University senior linebacker Reed Williams was an ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American second-team selection Tuesday.

Williams, who was a first-team pick in 2007, was forced to medically redshirt last season but has bounced back this year. He has played in nine games, including eight starts, and is the Mountaineers' fifth-leading tackler with 44 stops.
