  • What is an IED? What is an EOD? I'm sick of acronyms, I'd rather read the newspaper.
  • Jane Claymore is as belligerent, as extreme and as much a hate monger as any of those people she writes about on the right; she is only on the left.
  • Whenever we notice a police officer abusing authority, whether speeding or breaking the law, we should take their license number and call and report them. If enough of us do this, they might do something about it.
  • To those venters complaining about the groundhog hibernation being disturbed, just remember the groundhog wouldn't have a place to hibernate if it wasn't for people. He is fed and allowed to hibernate in a very nice place.
  • Where are all our politicians and all our leaders when AEP doubles people's electric bill in a recession?
  • The West Virginia Public Service Commission needs to put a stop to Mountaineer Gas estimating people's bill. I just paid an extra $100 due to estimation.
  • I'm glad Mother Jones, John L. Lewis and Bill Blizzard aren't here to see they took Blair Mountain off of the list of historic places in the state, so they can destroy it for coal. Where's the UMWA?
  • What's going to happen to the bricks at Haddad Park that the people bought to donate? Are they going to be preserved in another area?
  • When the people fear the government, that is tyranny. When the government fears the people, that's liberty.
  • The national debt has quadrupled in one year since Barack Obama took office.
  • You tree huggers should lay off. Don't you know Massey, Blankenship and Manchin will have to destroy a bunch of mountains to increase coal production by 60 percent in order to supply India and China next year?
  • I wonder why we pay taxes in St. Albans, yet when it snows you don't see the streets cleared?
  • Can it really be true that the ocean floor is now covered with hundreds of crude oil wells connected to platforms on the surface. It's hard to believe this doesn't pose a great threat to all of our planet's oceans.
  • I take issue with the caller saying Christians should protest mountaintop removal. I believe that God put the resources here on earth for us to use and He would be upset if we didn't use them.
  • Nothing would improve safety on the turnpike any more, at any less cost, than putting a low speed limit on tractor-trailers during inclement weather and really enforcing it.
  • It doesn't matter if it's weatherization in the state or the disaster in Haiti, whenever poor people are in trouble there is always someone willing to steal from them.
  • The Super Bowl is a time that if you have $3 million for 30 seconds, you can advocate your free speech in America.
  • I'd like to let Kent Carper know there are a lot of people out here that like him and appreciate him. I would like to see the building named after him.
  • Some insurance companies deny claims and often cancel policies for people with major problems. Yet, people object to change. People need to wake up and realize we are letting a wonderful opportunity pass us.
  • I'd like to know if a landlord is responsible for removing snow? Aren't they supposed to salt and shovel the driveway?
  • I have never been someone who shouts and spews out harmful words, but if you readers would allow me I would for once like to shout to all Republicans: Shut up, at least for six months and see if Democrats can get this country in the right direction.
  • Why are Gov. Manchin and the Senior Services commissioner trying to take away benefits? Many of these people have no family around and rely on these services.
  • I can understand why the Gazette editors are confused a lot. They watch too much BBC television. Why not watch NBC, CBS or Fox and learn something?
  • To the venter who said that the 23 people Doc Holliday got out of Florida couldn't start for Florida, they may be right, but they could start for WVU.
  • The Blackhawk Saloon should lose their license for five years. He has known he was breaking the law.
  • I watched basketball for four or five hours on Saturday and I didn't see one group of fans throwing anything. Oh, I forgot. The Mountaineers were playing away.
  • NBC just reported to attend the tea party in Tennessee cost $500. Americans with no jobs or health care will not be there.
  • It's nice that AEP is offering to set up payment plans for people with humongous power bills. Why don't they spend some money and update their system?
  • When are the stupid people of the state going to realize that all these excess levies are nothing but a form of taxation?
  • If you remember, the state of Tennessee gave birth to the Ku Klux Klan. Isn't it ironic that the tea party has gone back to Tennessee looking for the milk of life.
  • I'm sitting here in the dark because the power company decided to replace a poll that fell over 16 hours ago. You would have thought they would replace it during the daytime.
  • Robert Kennedy Jr. is my hero, but I find it baffling that people out of state love our mountains more than we do.
  • I'm tired of WVU fans getting bashed. Nobody really knows if it was a Mountaineer or Pitt fan who threw that stuff.
  • Now is the time for all parents of children with special needs to contact their state delegates and senators to mandate the coverage of treatment their children need. A dozen states have them.
  • Here's an idea: Put some permanent video cameras on the student section. Catch some of these maniacs and ban them from the games -- for good.
  • It is and always has been the responsibility of the landowner to clean up trees, slips, or anything else on their property that could restrict use of the road and they should be forced to do this or face prosecution.
  • Could it be that Gov. Manchin, President Clements, Coach Huggins and the television commentators are overlooking the fact that the inappropriate fan behavior is possibly, in part, caused by less than loyal, inebriated, out-of-state students masquerading as avid Mountaineer supporters?
  • Thanks to AEP, we were without power for over 10 hours on Saturday with not enough snow on the ground to even cover the grass and the only problem was a thrown breaker on a power poll that took them two minutes to fix.

Good job McKinley Middle School parents! Are you going to blame me for your lack of common sense and judgement? Maybe your parents should have taught you better, huh?

Monday night at McKinley Middle school was the first night of basketball games and the parents were not playing a fair game, calling girls from CG names and making fun, must be the same parents of the WVU/Pitt game fans.

The Tenn. Tea Party has nothing to do with the KKK! The Tea Parties are for all people that are tired of the Ballooning Debt and the careless spending in Washington DC. Now our politicians are trying to take away our given rights and to have control of the private sector. These people are trying to let the country know just what is happening in Washington and what that they are trying to do to to our beloved USA!

One year, and this administration is already in it's death throws. Liberals are losing their minds and independents are taking over the country. You know, Obama did bring me hope and change. The tea party brings me hope, and my life has definitely changed. No job, higher taxes, shift toward socialism. We have to stomp this progressive movement into the ground when we take over in November. We need to neuter this man-child in the White House so all he can do is run around and be on tv. When he gets removed we need to do everything possible to keep the liberal progressives on their communes and out of politics for good. Keep your heads up, America, we will prevail. We always do, thanks to the same people who have to do it everytime. We know who we are. We fight the wars, free the oppressed, and save the worthy and unworthy in spite of the "others" protesting us doing so, and call us names, and villify us. And we will keep doing it, in spite of you.
