MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- A mysterious odor at a private school in Morgantown has caused classes to be canceled for a second day while officials hunt for the source of the scent.
Students at Trinity Christian School were dismissed Monday morning and were kept home today because of an unfamiliar smell in the building.
Principal Mike Staud says he doesn't know what the odor is, but suspects it may be coming from the science lab or the heating and cooling unit.
About 345 students attend the K-12 school.
Firefighters and gas company officials have determined it's not a gas leak or carbon monoxide.
Staud says the school had a sewer gas problem four years ago, but this odor is something different.
