Roark-Sullivan wine benefit set

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Area wine distributors are again donating wine for the Wine and Roses event, to be held indoors at the Capitol Market from 5 to 7 p.m. on July 17 to benefit the Roark-Sullivan Lifeways Center.

Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door. Ticket bearers may sample wines from all over the world. John Brown, wine columnist for The Charleston Gazette, will be on hand to answer questions about wines.

I find it rather amusing that a homeless shelter, that is most likely full of men suffering from alcohol and drug abuse, would hold a wine-tasting event to raise money!! Only in America!!!
