MountainHeart Child Care Services will conduct a professional development session Monday at the Fayette County Department of Health and Human Resources, Oak Hill, for family day care providers, facility providers and day care center staff. American Red Cross will sponsor a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday in the pathology conference rooms of CAMC Memorial Hospital, 3200 MacCorkle Ave. Blood drives will also be held from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday at General Division, CAMC, Conference Rooms 101 and 102, 501 Morris St.
Kanawha County Democratic Executive Committee will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the courtroom of Judge Charlie King, fourth floor of the Judicial Annex.
Al-Anon offers meetings to support anyone who has been affected by someone else's drinking. Meetings are held at 8 p.m. Tuesdays at St. John's Episcopal Church, 1105 Quarrier St.; 7 p.m. Thursdays in Edgewood at St. Christopher's Episcopal, 819 Somerset Drive; and 7 p.m. Sundays, the Legacy Study Group meets at First Presbyterian Church, 508 Second Ave., South Charleston. Healthy Connections Wellness Center's Diabetes Support Group will meet from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday at First Church of the Nazarene, 4923 Kentucky St., South Charleston. This month's emphasis will be on Type 1 or juvenile diabetes. Parents and grandparents are urged to bring their children and grandchildren. Meetings are not just for diabetics.
