WINFIELD - A Culloden woman has been arrested for allowing her husband to have sex with a 14-year-old girl, a month after her husband was charged, according to Putnam County court records.

Mima Jane Parsons, 42, was charged last week with being an accessory to sexual abuse and being an accessory to incest.

Her husband, Ray Eugene Parsons, 41, was arrested in late February, accused of having sex with a close female relative. He is charged with two counts each of sexual abuse by a parent or guardian and incest.

In February, the girl told police that Ray Parsons began abusing her when she was 5, according to a criminal complaint.

During an interview with police, Ray Parsons admitted having sex with the girl several times when she was 11 and 12, the complaint states.

The girl also told police that two other male relatives had sexually abused her. She said she told Mima Parsons about the incidents, and "Mima would just call her a slut," according to another criminal complaint.

Child Protective Services removed the girl from the home on Panther Lick Road in February.

Mima Parsons was released from jail Monday night on $20,000 bond, according to court records. Ray Parsons is being held at Western Regional Jail on $100,000 bond.
