Star of the show "Semi-Homemade," Sandra Lee lends her support to West Virginia University Children's Hospital Oct. 10 with an appearance and food demonstration at a fundraising event. "Semi-Homemade" is the second highest-rated show on the Food Network.
Lee brings her practical and creative home and food tips to Charleston Town Center Marriott, with a speech and cooking demonstration at 3 p.m. She'll prepare smoked salmon-and-olive blini, mojo chicken halves, edamame salad and angel food cake with strawberries and mint.
Following the food demonstration, Lee will sign copies of her three new cookbook releases. The "Old Bags Luncheon" also includes a showcase of upscale handbags available for purchase.
She'll also appear at Oglebay Resort in Wheeling on Oct. 9 and Morgantown's Waterfront Hotel Oct. 12. Corporate sponsor Lowe's will provide the kitchen set-ups at all locations.
Tickets are $100 for individuals and $1,500 for corporate tables of 10, and include cocktails and heavy hors d'oeuvres. Call (304) 598-4346, ext. 1 for tickets and information.
