Photography contest

The Braxton County CVB is sponsoring a free photo contest seeking pictures of scenes, faces or activities that are unique to Braxton County. Participants do not need to live in Braxton County. All prints must be 8-x10-inch and matted as well as include a brief description of when and where the photo was taken, in addition to the entrants name, address and phone number.

Multiple entries are accepted; entries due by Nov. 25. Winners will be announced Dec. 6. Categories are professional, amateur and junior (16 and under). First place winners in each category will receive $100 cash, and an overall winner will get a gift basket from county businesses. Second and third places and honorable mention will also be recognized.
